The AkuSym research project at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (2022) investigates whether symptom-checker apps improve emergency medical care in Germany. The study uses observational research, qualitative interviews, and quantitative surveys to evaluate the integration of symptom-checker apps in emergency departments and develop recommendations for their practical implementation.
